MIDC Industrial Estates identification and its acquisition .(17,000 Hac)

As a Deputy CEO of MIDC , I was responsible for identification of land for industrial estate and it's acquisition.

Important industrial estates namely Hinjawadi, Baramati, Kurkumbh, Talegaon, Ranjangaon, Chakan , SEZ Chakan, Latur, Shendre Aurangabad,and Nagpur, I took an initiative and was successful in acquisition of land by negotiation with farmers with their consent .

Area acquired during my tenure was 17000 Hectares. These industrial estates have contributed to a great extent in Industrial development of Maharashtra .

Floriculture Park at Talegaon, Pune district.

I took an initiative for establishment of floriculture park at Talegaon Dabhade along the river Indrayani as this area was affected by riverside development regulations .

This has led to export of flowers from this area and has yield good income to farmers.

Wine Park and Wine Policy.

Nashik and surrounding area has large area under Grape crop. In order to give better income to the farmers, as a Deputy CEO of MIDC, I took an initiative and was given responsibility to establish Wine Park at Vinchur, Nashik and to frame wine policy so that wineries are established in these area which was submitted to Government.

The Government of Maharashtra accepted the proposal and declared the wine policy. The tax holiday for wine in Maharashtra was given for five years to promote wine production.
