Pandharpur is well known pilgrim center. Warkaries are used to stand in queue for 5 to 6 kms. for the Darshan of God Vitthal and Goddess Rukmini. I was holding the charge of Executive Officer, Vitthal Rukmini Mandir Samittee. In order to protect Warkaries and to minimize their hardship, I putforth the proposal for construction of the Darshan Mandap. As mandir was taken over by the Government, there was paucity of fund.

We arranged Bhagwat Saptah with preaching by Sadguru Dongare maharaj which helped to collect donation of Rs. 28 Lacs in year 1987. We completed the 5 towers building having all the facilities which could accommodate 15000 pilgrims at a time. It was inaugurated at the hands of then President hon. Shankar Dayal Sharmaji.
